The collaboration between today's MSRM and the MRI started years ago when Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sami Haddadin conducted the first studies on injury in human-robot interaction together with Prof. Dr. Burgkart. We are therefore proud to announce that this fruitful collaboration is still ongoing. The new robot will enable, especially the team for robot safety, to learn and understand more about robot applications in surgical departments and extend their studies for safe human-robot collaboration to the medical field. The CASPAR robot will be located at the Robot performance and safety lab.
