MSRM/RSI researchers win ISR2021 Best Paper Award
MSRM’s research excellence was recognized again, this time with the ISR2021 Best Paper Award. The IEEE ISR2021 brings together an international community of experts to discuss ways to integrate intelligence and security into robotics. IEEE honored Robin Kirschner, Nico Mansfeld, Saeed Abdolshah und Prof. Sami Haddadin, members of the Chair of Robotics and System Intelligence and authors of the paper "Experimental Analysis of Impact Forces in Constrained Collisions According to ISO/TS 15066".
In this paper, researchers propose the concept of a constrained collision force map (CCFM), which relates the robot impact velocity and the collision reaction method its parameterization to the peak collision force in a constrained collision scenario. The CCFM is a tool that will help practitioners to implement both safe and efficient HRI applications and to understand the robot’s collision behavior.
